About Us
Our Organization
Standard Accessibility Reporting, Inc. (SAR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit member organization registered with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and incorporated in the State of Virginia.
Founded in 2022, SAR was formed with a mission to create new standard product labels so that people know how accessible a product is for people with different types of disabilities.
Our members fulfill this mission through collaboration on standards development teams, overseen by member-elected leadership through a board of directors, and managed by board-appointed directors. Our members ultimately vote on the adoption of proposed accessibility reporting standards.
Our standards development and education-and-outreach projects are supported through professional memberships, public supporter memberships, donations, and by project sponsorships.
